A 4th generation Newport Beach resident with a huge passion for the ocean, Eric Vallely began surfing at about the age of 5 at Blackies. As a surfer he noticed the beauty of the sunrises and sunsets over the water and the different shapes that waves take with the various tides and wind conditions. Over the years, he traveled the world surfing many beautiful places and each time would come home with the most amazing memories. Then, one day before going on a surf trip to Indonesia he bought his first camera. It took him a few years to really begin capturing images the way he had imagined them, but slowly things started to come together. Looking through the viewfinder in a camera changed the way he looked at everything around him. Moving around his hometown of Newport Beach, he wanted to try and capture the essence of the city through all of the things and places that he loved about it. Everyday Eric tries to share the beauty of his city through his lens with everyone in his own unique way.
